Power & Co was established as a non-profit organization on 27 November 2001 after the founding team conducted a survey that revealed babysitting and child caring as a major problem for parents today.

• Variable working hours and increased leisure make it difficult to cope with unexpected situations,
• Day-nurseries are over-busy and cannot extend their normal operating hours,
• Nursery schools do not welcome children very early in the morning nor keep them late in the evening,
• An insufficient number of nursery assistants makes them hard to find,
• Nursery schools will not accept “ill” children and are not organized to respond to occasional demands,
• …....and a romantic night out can be too complicated to plan!
